Balcony class on ships travelling to cold countries

Recommended Posts

Will be travelling in a cold region soon; will balcony cabins be less than ideal? Also, will the cold air leak in too much and affect our sleep at night? For the Quantum class of ships!

Never had a problem with cold air leaking into the stateroom from the balcony, on any Royal ship.

We've never had a problem with cold air leaking in. We did Quantum out of NYC (of course she was new, so might affect door seals). The first day was around 20 degrees high. Spent about one minute on the balcony that day. But we've also done Norway, and Alaska. Did Alaska on Rhapsody and loved the balcony. Just bundle up. Norway was on HAL, but we loved the balcony then too. If no other reason, the glass door is a huge window to enjoy any views from inside.

Anyway, I've never seen any air leak on any ship in over 30 cruises.
