what surprise me was the 2nd half of this:

The primary goal for CruiseNext Consultants is to increase revenue by sales of CruiseNext and promotion of any Revenue area such as stores/restaurants/corporate clients in ports of call where contracted.

It basically says that as a Cruise Next consultant, your primary job is to sell Cruise Next. But,,, if they need help at the tee-shirt sale or need to someone to sell dining and drink packages on embarkation day, those will be your "other duties as required". That is about the same as any position on the outward facing staff. If you have ever been to the art auction, the assistants at the podium recording bids and sales and manning the registration tables are usually personnel from the cruise director's staff (dancers, performers, etc.). Everyone on the ship has a responsibility to increase revenue. Just like any other retail or entertainment job.
