Cayman1 Posted October 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2018 So we are going on a holiday cruise this year and we will be in St Maarten on Christmas Day. For those who has cruised over the holidays before, will the shops be open still, even though it’s Christmas Day? Thanks you!
Buddysmom10 Posted October 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2018 We were in St Kitts on December 25, a few years ago and not much was open. We did go on a tour that was ok but there were not many of the little shops open. And they did not play the song once on the ship!
blindrid Posted October 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2018 We must be on the same cruise. I emailed a lady I know in SXM. According to her, I’m not planning on much. Not a lot of shops there that has ever interested us anyway. We’re planning on a beach day. we spent a week there 6 months ago and I’m sure the storm damage is still pretty brutal anyway..... Coralc Posted October 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2018 No. Most of the stores and shops won't be open. If they are open, it will only be for a couple of hours. Maybe walk around the stores at the pier, or take the water taxi over to the beach for a bit. But most people will want to be home with their own families.
