wilsonz6 Posted October 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2018 Just a shot in the dark... Is there any Luaus that offer the show portion without food? We want to go to a luau but struggling with the cost for teen picky eaters that probably wont eat a bite. Specically thinking around Lahaina. Not going to miss one due to this but if you don’t ask....
Astro Flyer Posted October 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2018 (edited) The Lahaina Cannery Mall (across the street from the Old Lahaina Luau) offers free hula shows a few times per week. https://lahainacannerymall.com/free-hula-shows-on-maui/ The Outlets of Maui located in Lahaina have free Tahitian Dance Shows a few times per week. https://www.outletsofmaui.com/event/Tahitian-Dance-Show/2145511878/ If you only want to listen to a luau, Aloha Mixed Plate is next to the OLL with an ala carte menu & is owned by the same people who run the OLL & the Feast at Lele. https://www.alohamixedplate.com/ I don’t think any of the paid luaus offer a price minus the food. I know they have a children’s menu with things such as fried chicken strips. Edited October 21, 2018 by Astro Flyer
samandlibby Posted December 1, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2018 There is a luau on Kauai where you can do the show only for $15 per person. https://www.smithskauai.com/garden-luau/smiths-kauai-luau-show-tickets/
cb at sea Posted December 4, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 4, 2018 Do they eat pork BBQ? That's basically what you get....you don't have to eat the poi or whatever! It's pulled pork!
cccole Posted December 4, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2018 There are luaus that offer this, are you looking at a specific island? I researched it a couple years ago and there were several that offered the cocktail/entertainment only part of the luau. If you already know which island you can contact the luau and ask this question for the specific dates you are interested in. I think it is a great option. Have fun, Cherie
