Thanks for your excellent review !  We were on the Regal from Oct 6 -13 and had a wonderful time.  Thanks for the great photos.

In the MDR, they were not upselling the entrees.  But, they were trying to sell little liqueur glasses of after-dinner liqueurs. They were selling little souvenir glasses filled with liqueurs like limoncello.  These upsells seemed to be a new thing in the MDR.

Maybe we just lucked out, the the crew in the International Cafe were very friendly and helpful.

It's so fun to sit around in the Atrium on the Regal -- yes, it is a little loud, but there's always something happening, and you can also listen to A.J. Clarke,  who does a great show in Crooner's.  -- EBC

Thanks for the picture of the medallion. So if I'm seeing things correctly, it is encased in plastic with a loop you can use with your lanyard?

They provided us with a nice grey lanyard. Attached to it was the encased medallion with your names printed on it. It also came with a cruise card inserted in a plastic case. The medallion was only used for room access.

Great! Hope this continues.

Hello Lynzchat,

Thanks for the review.  Much appreciated.  Was wondering if there is still a hot chocolate machine by the coffee machine in the Horizon Court buffet area?  There was one during our Baltic cruise on the Regal in 2016.  Regal was the only ship I saw that has the hot chocolate machine.

Thanks,

Grace

Appreciate all your comments about the REGAL as we  plan to embark on a TA next April and continuing onto the Batlics.

Just off the STAR and the IC staff could not have been more friendly.  Perhaps having Captain Tuvo onboard makes everyone more personable--no wonder he is such a favorite captain.  Bye-Bye

Not sure about the Horizon Court, but there is one on the Horizon Terrace (aft) adjacent to Outrigger's Bar.

The dining room upsell items are a *very* new thing.  We were on the Regal for the Oct. 13 sailing, and they weren't offered then.  Then again, your pictures of the MDR food look much better than what we experienced.  What a difference a week makes!

Someone posted last week that they were in the menus when they sailed this summer.

They have been around a couple of years. I am noticing now the menus may not have the small 2” by 2” paper that lists them stuck in the menu. They fall out or passengers leave them laying on the table.  They are not pushing them at all. The last 2 nights they have not been there.

They may be new to Princess, but Royal has been doing this for quite a while now, which has been the line we sail on the most lately.
