From Atlantic City to Bayonne Cruise port....

Ok...so we have gone back and forth.

We are sailing on the Anthem March 30th.  We had previously decided to depart DC on Friday, March 29th via Amtrak.  We have a room reserved at the Renaissance at Newark Hotel.

Now we are thinking of driving to AC on March 29th...have fun there for the evening then getting up Saturday morning and driving to the port and parking there.  We could get a free room in AC...but you know nothing is free really.

How long a drive from AC to the port?  How much in Tolls?

Park at lot right next to ship, right?

How much to park daily?  We get there Saturday, March 30th and leave Saturday morning April 6th   (do we have to pay for the April 6th?)

We know to drop luggage and people off with porters then go park and walk back.  Right?  How long a walk?  Do we pay before?

When we get off ship, how does that work?  Do we pay, is it easier for everyone to go to the car or wait for the car to pick us up?

$20/day to park times days of cruise so a 7 day cruise is $140.  Garage is right next to the terminal so a very short walk.  Take your parking receipt with you to pay at a machine when you return to get a receipt to exit the garage. Machine takes credit cards or cash bills $50 or less.

At at the end it’s probably a lot faster to just take your luggage directly to the car or have one of you wait at the garage exit with the luggage.

Can’t really help with Atlantic City. The drive should be fine on a Sat.

The drive from Atlantic City to Bayonne is about 120 miles. Allow 2/2.5 hours if no weather factors that day.

The toll on the Garden State Parkway will be almost $4.00, the NJTP toll almost $5.00.  Only 1 toll payment on the turnpike, multiple toll booths while driving on the GSP.
