Rare cruisestitch Posted November 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2018 (edited) For those following on sites which show ship positions, we are pulling ahead to get to FLL a day early, due to two medical emergencies. Once those passengers are taken off we will head back to sea on a short “cruise to nowhere” and return to FLL for the scheduled disembarkation. no other passengers will be allowed off, there will be no C&I to take care of them, no porters or security or ground transportation. We don’t even know which pier we will be using. Edited November 2, 2018 by cruisestitch
Rare ghstudio Posted November 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2018 (edited) Unlikely we will use any pier....expect evacuation to a coast guard ship or perhaps to a helicopter when we get in range....if it is a real emergency. Sounds like a situation that’s medically under control but should be treated in a hospital. doesnt really impact our cruise....we’ve had this same situation before....get to port early, then go back out to sea. We we have increased speed from 20 knots to 22 knots Edited November 2, 2018 by ghstudio
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 2, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted November 2, 2018 Looks like we will be docking, according to Port Everglades site.
Rare ghstudio Posted November 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2018 Just now, cruisestitch said: Looks like we will be docking, according to Port Everglades site. If you believe that site, the allure will be leaving empty....and the reflection docks on Sunday and doesn’t leave until Monday. my bet is still that we won’t actually dock.... Rare cruisestitch Posted November 2, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted November 2, 2018 Well, Allure will be leaving empty. That’s for sure, because it is repositioning to Miami. Maybe the officials are just keeping all the options open for now.

Rare cruisestitch Posted November 4, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted November 4, 2018 The Captain said we are using $250,000 worth of extra fuel to be at FLL a day early !
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 4, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted November 4, 2018 A new star code was just called. We are barely out of the port after three passengers were transferred to waiting ambulances.
