If you purchase a Speciality Dining Package do they add on 18% Gratuities to the price, or does it depend on where you purchase the package?

 

I ask, because we are considering a package for our upcoming trip in April, and on our cruise planner it doesn't seem to add gratuities at checkout, but we purchased a package on our Jewel trip this past May onboard the ship, and were charged 18% gratuities onto the package.   

 

Does someone know the answer?

If you purchase pre-cruise, no 18% is added, at the present time.  They will likely "fix" this at some point. 

 

Purchases onboard incur the 18%.

Thanks Bob for the information.   I did think it was a wee bit strange, and couldn't remember what had happened on previous trips.
