fstuff1 Posted November 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2018 (edited) cas = casinos at sea i get a 20% discount on any cruise that has a casino. (ie: NOT pride of America) i booked on board my current cruise through the CruiseNext desk and had them transfer it to CAS. i booked a GTY room but if i booked thru cruisenext, i get to pick my room #. after i got home from the cruise, i called up CAS to get my 20% discount. unfortunately, since im past final payment, if i change anything i get a penalty. so no 20% discount since the penalty is more. so basically i paid $80 more to pick my room # (which is an angled balcony). vs saving $80 and getting assigned a random balcony. wished i could bake a cake and eat it too, as the saying goes Edited November 12, 2018 by fstuff1
poohdreaming Posted November 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2018 If a cabin is more important, then be happy with your choice. Sometimes a random balcony or any types of room that was assigned might not be good. Enjoy your cruise.

Yeah, I knew how it worked because I get 20% off... I guess We usually end up booking a more expensive room so I'm used to seeing several hundred dollars in savings and not just $80 or $100. Between the two cruises we have booked for 2019, we saved almost $1,000 with the 20% off.
