I'm glad you seasoned cruisers took a chance on the ship excursion.  I often read complaints about how they are overcrowded and expensive, but most of what we have taken have been very good.  Then again we pick more unique options and not just the generic shopping or least expensive beach break, so that might contribute to our better experiences.

We try and do excursions where and when it makes sense.  On this cruise we did 4 ship based excursions and two on our own.

So St Lucia is one of my favorite places in the Caribbean.  I is a unique island with spectacular vista points and a wonderful people and of course their national treasures....the Pitons.  Our excursion was a catamaran view of some of the island with some beach time.  We walked directly from the ship to where we boarded the Cat.  Their was a crew of six, they served lunch, drinks and kept their clients happy.  It was a great excursion, here are some pics.

Two famous resorts, on the bottom is Anse shastanet and above Jade Mountain where the rooms face the Pitons and have only 3 walls to not impede the view and private plunge pools

Whenever we do one of these cat excursions there is always a guy....the guy that gets the crowd going after some libations....  This is THAT guy.

Wait a minute now , that's pole dancing 😮 . BTW wearing the hat backwards is a sure sign of a redneck.     You guys had an outstanding time I can tell , keep it coming !

It was a great time and there was some pole dancing.  Reminded me a lot of a Cat snorkeling excursion we did in St Kitts last year.

Jimbo -- we were on that excursion too. You got a pic of my right side from the back -- red shirt and blue shorts. Probably one of our best excursions.  🙂

That’s is cool.  I will be posting more pics from the other camera this morning, maybe catch you in another pic.  I agree, we had a great time!
