FLL hotel recommendations

DW and I are planning on  sailing out of Fort Lauderdale in July 19.  We have always stayed at a location that seems to be running down with time and are looking for recommendations on a nice hotel, relative proximity to the beaches, and shuttle service to/from the airport/cruise terminal.

The 17th. street area are popular with cruisers. Have been to most hotels along this stretch over the last 8 years, all are nice. Our favorites are Hyatt Place convention center, Hilton Marina, Renaissance. You can take a cheap $1 p.p. ride from the Harbor shops on the Sun Trolly to the beach, about 2-3 mies.

Dozens and dozens and dozens of discussions on Ft Lauderdale hotels here. Common recommendation...check sunny.org. Another common recommendation- don't worry about free shuttles. The distances are short, taxis and Uber/Lyft cheap and plentiful. 

 

Agree with the 17th St comments.
