Ponchos Backyard restaurant

Does anyone know the price of a taxi from the International dock in Cozumel to Ponchos Backyard restaurant (4 people).  I read somewhere that they now have two restaurants -if they do now have 2 does anyone know which one is closer to the International Pier.  Sailing on the Celebrity Equinox.

The nearest one will be at Carnival pier (Puerta Maya) 5-10 mins walk to the right out of port.

 

Main original restaurant in town $10 taxi ride for 4 people.

We were there just before Thanksgiving, at the original restaurant.   It was as good as it has always been.  We have not tried the new one near the pier (didn't even know it exists).  The "official" and posted rate for cabs is $8 for 4 people.  The drivers do try to get $10 but won't fight too hard if you insist on paying the official rate.  But they do have to make a living.

The one at the pier isn't new.  We've eaten there about 6 times in the last 7 or so years.  It's at the pier where Carnival usually docks.  We've also eaten at the one downtown.  I prefer the one at the pier as the view is of the water.
