Need Help Desperately: Orlando to Tampa Transportation

We just found out that our family cruise on Oasis in March was canceled.  This is a family cruise and we are all flying into MCO.  Due to work commitments, this is the only week we can go.  I have found another cruise that will work for us, but we will have to get from Orlando to Tampa cruise terminal and then back to Orlando for our return flights.  Is there a shuttle service that does this, or should we rent cars.  If we do the cars, where can we drop them in Tampa and then pick them up again?  We have just found this out, and are currently packing to leave early tomorrow so we are kind of in a rush for information.  Advice and information is welcome.  Thank you.

Is the new cruise from Tampa also on RCI? If so you should be all over them to cover the airline fees to change everyone's flights from MCO to TPA.

Otherwise, I gather you are all flying in the morning of your cruise. How many are you, and how close in time do all your flights arrive? You may have no choice but to get a private van transfer from Super Shuttle or the like if time is too tight to return rental cars before the deadline to board in Tampa.

We are flying in the day before the cruise.  We are all 8 together arriving MCO 6:00 pm.  We have a hotel reservation near to MCO airport.  Cruise leaves Tampa the following day at 4:00 on HAL.  If we rent cars at MCO, where can we drop them in Tampa and also pick them up again on disembarkation?  We have never flown to MCO nor cruised out of Tampa.

Avis and Hertz have hotel locations very close to the port in Tampa.  Enterprise in Ybor city is also close.  If you get a better deal dropping cars at the TPA airport, and UberX to the port is only about $20 -- I would drop 6 plus bags at the port and then return the cars.  The drive from MCO to the port of Tampa will take about 90 min.
