Johalla Posted December 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2018 We are looking at a cruise on Mariner of the Seas and considering an inside cabin with the windows overlooking the Promenade. Pros and cons? Probably on deck 7 I would guess. Thanks!
Clarea Posted December 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2018 Pro: Less expensive than an oceanview. Con: No outside view. Less privacy.
iahawkfan21 Posted December 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 15, 2018 We enjoy balcony rooms but often can’t swing the price difference. Have done promenade cabins numerous times and really enjoy them. We’ve actually found even with the balcony cabins we don’t spend a lot of time in the room, but appreciate the little extra space in promenade rooms. Deck 7 is great and we’re in promenade rooms for 13 nights side by side on Navigator/Explorer next fall.
Rare FionaMG Posted December 15, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 15, 2018 We have had a promenade room twice, once on Adventure several years ago, and just this past month on Navigator, both on deck seven. We like the cheaper prices and the fact that you still get a window to look out. One thing we did notice was the difference in noise infiltration. On Adventure we had a room towards the end (7557) and did not notice any noise, but on Navigator we were opposite the pub (7279) and we could hear the music in the cabin until quite late (a couple of night till past midnight). If you like to go to bed early that's something to take into consideration when choosing the location of the cabin. We did not think the view from the centrally located cabin was so amazing as to make it a must-have location. These pics are on Navigator.
