Miami with little kids

We are extending  our cruise one day in Miami. We will be at the Miami Port (no car) and am looking for a hotel near (within walking distance) to Crandon Park (or another kid friendly beach).  Any recommendations? Is this a good area to stay for a day/night with kids to walk around and have some things to do?

The Ritz Carlton is right there and on the beach. Family friendly.

Looks very pricey, anything more reasonably priced?

No other hotels over there besides the Ritz.

 

Love Key Biscayne but its quiet and there is not much to do that is in walking distance of even the Ritz.

The Silver Sands is over there but keep in mind Key Biscayne is very pricey.   I love it there but very quiet.
