Dancing on the Divina

What style dancing is offered on the Divina and how big is the dance floor. I'm hoping for more than hopping up and down but I'm not a fantastic ballroom dancer either.  Thanks.

We sailed Divina December 2018 and were quite pleased with the variety of dancing venues;  there was a great jazz trio and also a great latin dance duet as well as solo piano in the atruim and of course the Galaxy disco and the aft lounge.  Missing from our previous experiences on Divina was the country dance music.  There are a number of locations to dance, ranging from the relatively small dance floor in the atrium, to much larger areas in a number of lounges located around the ship.  My guess is that you will not be disappointed.

Thank you neptuno......so happy to hear that there is dancing around the ship in various lounges.  We cruised on the Divina in 2017 and I do remember there being plenty of opportunities to dance but since then, I have read negative posts about the music, etc.  I'm glad you had a great experience and hopefully we will be able to dance the night away in a few weeks on the Divina 🙂

If you want to learn different dance moves, Divine employs two professional dance instructors to host free dancing lessons daily.  Dancing is not my thing but I heard they are quite good and very approachable.

When we cruised (Nov-Dec) the real dance aficionados managed to find places to dance :).  There was one couple who would hang out in the Luna Bar ( they had a very good rock duo) who would just get up and dance wherever they could find room.  They were terrific dancers and even got acknowledged by the entertainers :).  The Black-White Lounge also has a decent dance floor and its a good place when they have the right entertainment.
