G.M.T. Posted January 7, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2019 From the 1st. January 2019 changes have been made as to how Costa Club Points can be accumulated (at least in germany). For Inside, Outside and Balcony cabin categories, if you book between 90 and 360 days before sailing, then the points will be doubled and if the cruise is booked over 360 days out then the points will be tripled. Lots of people talk about the good old days, in the case of Costa and it's Club it is very true.
tenpin Posted January 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2019 I really getting fed up with all these so called new rules, certainly not for the benefit of their most long term loyal club members. What with the £50 charge if you cancel a cruise yet now pay 25% up front & the stupid idea of encouraging you to book months in advance & free up-grades means cabins are often full (sold out) on lots of future cruises. I have tried to book a suite on five cruises this year and only one has suites left, thank heavens for MSC who do look after loyal customers, & have two of my cruise booked. greg2014 Posted January 9, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2019 I agree. Many of perks for Costa Club members in my opinion are virtual or/and worth nothing. The only good news is that classic and premium cabins will give exact the same number of points.
