Danno Posted January 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Apparently 30% of couples "must do" it before they leave port...nuff said :D . (Not my stats...was quoted in an earlier thread)
Rare many cruises Posted January 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Be sure to visit Michael's Club for a before or after dinner drink! Also, don't miss the sushi bar. :):)
flashdog_1 Posted January 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Definitely the T pool. The one on Century is fantastic, smaller but better than on M class ships. I heard that in addition to the suite passengers who get in free, they only sell 50 passes per cruise! I also understand you cannot buy a day pass. Really wish they would do that since some days you might not use it. A sail away drink for sure. Calling the family at sail away when the captain toots the horn! xtopher_66 Posted January 17, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Only been on Infinity, so my list only pertains to M-Class: Specialty Restaurant T-Pool Need to check out Michael's club. I only went there for the CC Party. Never got a chance to go to the Cova Cafe either. Chris

Holly2 Posted January 17, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Brings back a lot of not too distant memories. I'd only add eating sushi while sailing away from port into the sunset.
canderson Posted January 17, 2006 #9 Share Posted January 17, 2006 A few things that come to mind: On C-Class, use the T-Pool as often as possible drop by Michael's for a cigar and a single malt have the butler drop off the Cova cappucino with the afternoon tea On M-Class, watch each port departure from a rear-facing veranda have lunch at the Spa Grill eat dinner at the specialty restaurant
CaliforniaDreamin Posted January 17, 2006 #10 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Do the Martini Bar tasting. 6 different flavor smaller martinis for price of 1 large. Usually on first night. Maybe another night also. Use my free Captain's Club minutes in Internet Cafe. Cash in my and DW $12 for $10 Captain's Club coupons in Casino. Totals $12 profit. Play my and DW 2 for 1 Captain's Club table game coupons at Craps table. Eat lunch at Aqua Spa Cafe. Check out the 2 daily hot items on the sign. Have delicious waffles for breakfast occasionally. Also omelets. Use thalassotherapy pool. So relaxing. Have shrimp coctail for appetizer every night at dinner. Weigh myself on scales in gym on first day and again on last full day to see how much weight I lose. I actually did lose on last cruise.
flashdog_1 Posted January 17, 2006 #11 Share Posted January 17, 2006 What ship were you on that you were able to get sushi for sailaway? I've been told by the buffet manager that they didn't have it on the first night! Thanks.
motherchic Posted January 17, 2006 Author #12 Share Posted January 17, 2006 I agree with all the above especially the use of the Thallo pool, checking out the sign for the 2 specials at the spa cafe ( sometimes fabulous ) martini tasting the first night sushi on the aft deck in the evenings also splurge and get an aroma stone message

asmitty Posted January 17, 2006 #14 Share Posted January 17, 2006 What do they mean by "gourmet bites" and what kind of dress is expected for afternoon tea (formal or informal)? Does every X ship/itinerary have a midnight buffet? I'm sure that is not to be missed!
travlcrayZ Posted January 17, 2006 #15 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Wow!! What a great list of "to-do's"!! Can't wait to go-but as I am looking forward to the T-pool, how and when do you get the pass (before everyone else)? Can you get it online before boarding the ship? Have heard alot aobut this pool but haven't ever seen one.I hurt alot of the time so get in a hot tub is almost always mandatory for me after any sightseeing:p . motherchic Posted January 18, 2006 Author #16 Share Posted January 18, 2006 the gourmet bites are trays of delicious little appetizers and desserts that are passed aroung by the waiters in the lounges, casino etc in lieu of a buffet. celebrity has 1 huge midnight buffet and several smaller buffets on certain party nights. I eat at the late seating so for me we are waaaay too full. Thats why i enjoy the sushi and the meals at the spa as a pre-dinner snack to hold ud until the late seating. I have only sailed on M class ships and there Thallo pool is free, i am sorry but i do not know how the others work. If you have to pay -i think it would be so worth it especially if you have aches and pains For the everyday tea-just shorts or an appropriate cover up for the special then the dress should be more appropriate
