Ronaldo807 Posted January 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2019 Is it possible and advisable to walk to Reflexion's Beach Bar from the cruise port? If so, how far and safe of a walk is it? If not, how much is the taxi fare to/from? It will be myself, my wife, and my 7 year old daughter. Thanks.
Hatteras51 Posted January 24, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2019 People have walked it and reported back that they wish that they hadn't. It is a long, hot walk in a highly traffic congested area. They have all said that they took a taxi back and wouldn't walk there again. A taxi will only cost around $10 - $11 from inside the port.

nicstress Posted February 22, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2019 We took a taxi. It was $10 for 5 of us. Highly recommend this place! Good food and drinks which are half price at 4 pm. Otherwise cocktails are around$8. Pool and beautiful sand beach which is like a large swimming pool. It was a great place to spend the afternoon. We ate in the restaurant then moved to a table on the beach with an umbrella and didn't pay extra for that We were just there on Jewel of the Seas. Enjoy.

Do you know how long of a taxi ride it was? Do you recall if they had the beer bucket specials that they advertise?
nicstress Posted February 23, 2019 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2019 It was less than 10 minutes. Not sure about the bucket of beers but if you email them I'm sure they would tell you. It was a great place.

Ronaldo807 Posted March 25, 2019 Author #8 Share Posted March 25, 2019 Just wanted to follow up now that we are back. The taxi ride was $11USD from the port. The taxi driver did try to steer us towards Eagle or Palm, but not in any sort of aggressive manner. The beach and pricing was exactly as described and was great for our daughter as the water was calm and shallow. We did walk back instead of taking a taxi. It is a decent walk, however, a lot of it was directly on the beach, and the rest of it was on the sidewalk so no issues with traffic. It wasn't overly hot and there were some clouds so that certainly helped. There was also a big stretch of public beach along the way if you were ok with just putting a towel down (surfside beach). I did not see any facilities though for that beach (there may have been some and I just missed it). Hope this helps anyone looking in the future. 1

After researching I have been following both Reflexions & Surfside on Facebook as we don't go until November. It's just hubby and I and honestly we aren't interested in a pool, just the beach and some food and drinks. Both places look awesome.
