theocgt Posted February 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2019 Is the upgrade to Aqualina and Prime C worth it, or is the food really good anyway?
Grandma Cruising Posted May 3, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2019 Sorry it’s taken so long for you to get an answer theocgt. This had got posted in the Azamara Asks Forum, rather than the main Azamara Club Cruises Forum, where you’re more likely to get answers. We think the food in Discoveries (the main dining room) is very good, however we still like to treat ourselves to a few meals in the speciality restaurants. Although it’s $30 a head, Azamara do a package of 3 meals in speciality restaurants for $70, which we feel is very good value. If you are a meat lover, then Prime C is excellent - and one thing to note is that you can drink the same included wines in the speciality restaurants, so there’s nothing extra to pay. We prefer being served our evening meal so always eat dinner in Discoveries, but have been told that Widows buffet also serves excellent food in the evenings. If you are a first-timer on Azamara you may find it helpful to look at the Tips for Azamara Newbies topic in the Azamara Club Cruises Forum. excitedofharpenden Posted May 3, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2019 Definitely worth it in my view. Try it, see what you think and depending upon the number of nights your cruise is you might like to ask them at the end of the first meal to do the package of three. Chef's Table is worth it if you have good appetites and would drink the paired wines. Otherwise at $95 pp it's pretty expensive. Nice night though. They do I think three themes.
