NC Fred Posted February 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2019 We are a group of 6 and after closely looking at the wine's available and pricing of the HA selections, we have decided to bring our own wine ( in excess of the 1 bottle per person allowed in carry on) onboard. We are aware of the $18 per bottle corkage but were wondering if the 15% gratuity is added as well. Since they are not opening or pouring the wine I would not think so but would like a confirmation. Also, could the $18 charge be applied to on board credit? Part of our pricing included OBC. And finally, are we allowed to bring a case of bottled water on board? Thanks in advance for any replies.
Msrigby Posted February 6, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2019 The total fee per bottle of wine in excess of the first bottle is $18, no additional charge if they chill and/or open the wine on the ship. You may bring as much water and other non alcoholic beverages as you like without charge. These may be brought on on embarkation day or from any port. Your only limit is that you must carry on the beverages. One caveat, if you participate in a holland American tour that includes a stop at a winery, they waive the “corkage fee” for one bottle purchased at the winery. ENJOY!! Yes, corkage will be charged to your account so, if you have OBC and a credit balalnce, it will just be deducted from that. No problem at all
