Frustrating as ever....

Posted the other day regarding the Trio speciality dining package being "sold out".

Well it is for sure, as is the case with all speciality packages on this sailing, several calls to various call centres and emails confirm 100%.

My last call was yesterday to Monique in London who after advising me that there was no availability, that this was the first time she had experienced this and that she would contact HQ to gain official clarification, before calling me today by 12 noon with total guarantee.

-It's closer to 3pm now so that one is a blow out.

I'm going to have to book this ASAP upon boarding to secure I fear.

Does anyone know the current price when purchasing aboard?

Thanks

The Brazilians probably have it all booked up, Frank!

On the subject, be prepared for there being mainly Brazilians onboard and hearing Portuguese everywhere!  We did the crossing from Santos on Preziosa;  nearly all the announcements were in Portuguese.  Let's just say - it was VERY different!

Yes Bea I'm expecting a strong Brazilian experience! I was thinking 75%?

Been practicing my Portuguese of course!

No real exposure to this nationality and wish to upset nobody, but....

I'm hoping they have a US vibe in terms of knowing how to have a good time, party people, possibly a little chilled or laid back and possibly a little 'Med' in terms of loud, pushy and shovey?

On facebook there are three Brit groups that have set up a page inviting us, they are each also there a few days before too so if they are alright there's a little UK clique in the making lol

Not come across anyone on our flights/route yet though!

It will be my youngest sons last trip with us, as he's found love lol (you would have loved to see my face last month when he came and had the "Dad I don't think I can come on this holiday" chat!!! Needless to say he is travelling with a photo, wifi, her best wishes and my 'stern glances' for company lol

So we will be having a good time, our first trip away alone since 1986 in July and a 'threat' that he and his young lady will join us possibly next year!

Answering your own post!

Just had final chat with customer non-services to find out the answer to this posting ...The aboard price of the trio dining package.

First she was happy to advise all speciality dining was sold out, I advised that I knew this before both her and my call, but I was calling to establish the aboard purchase price....

"If you had purchased today with me it would have been £213.00"

Yes I know that but what about aboard, given that I cannot.

"Ah well that we wouldn't know, but guessing I'd say more"

Specialist Subject the obvious!

I give up....the buffet seems more appealing now :classic_sad:

They may be doing you a huge favour that you don't know about, yet, Frank.  The offerings in the 'Dining Experience' part of the menus in the restaurants may not appeal and you may even be disappointed.  Plus, there are sometimes offers onboard - especially if the restaurants aren't doing much business.  This might work in your favour!

I'd suggest you talk with the crew/host/hostess in each restaurant on embarkation night about the menus and possible offers before committing to anything (just my tuppence ha'penny worth).

I 'get' your frustration, though!

Anyway ... please bring her home in one piece - I'm booked on her for the end of August.

Bea... Was happy with two of the restricted menu's and thought for the price I'd ride the third option.

But maybe you are right, everything happens for a reason as they say!

That's my plan now, or wait for Monique to call back in 2045 when I'll have no teeth to chew meat anyway!

She will return, glitzy as ever, pristine, ready for you though possibly low on liqueur ha ha x
