lovin2cruise Posted February 8, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2019 We are cruising in August and would love to do the Carnival excursion for Danajagua Falls. However, my husband had a total hip replacement 3 years ago (he's in his late 50's). He gets around just fine, but I'm wondering if anyone who has done this excursion could give me some more insight. I read a review where someone who had a total knee replacement did it and managed fine, but I would hate for my husband to injure himself, especially since it's our first stop! Thank you in advance for your thoughts/replies!
brookeq Posted February 12, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 12, 2019 There are ladders at all of the main jumps that you can use if you don't want to jump. The carnival excursion only takes to you to I think 6 or 8 of the 27 falls. We used an outside company so we could go to all of them.
akmom1heck Posted February 13, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2019 We loved this excursion, but it was difficult for me (overweight/out of shape). The rest of my family had no problems. There were a couple areas it was a high step to make, but the guides got me through it!
