Is upgrade advantage NEVER offered? How late is too late?

I'm sailing April 28, 74 days out, Jade TA and no one on my roll call has had the "let's get you upgraded" email.  Is this normal?  There IS availability in all categories other than suites; Haven is sold out except for two GV's, but my last cruise Haven was totally sold out and we still got that email.  I thought it goes out at 80 days.  Any experience in it going out much sooner to sail date?

We were on the Gem this past November.The upgrade was offered 3 days before our sailing

If you qualify then it will happen...... the fact that no one in your Roll Call has received an opportunity to bid clearly shows that the Advantage Upgrade Program has not kicked off for your itinerary yet.

That email you were looking for maybe it got spammed misrouted - but in any event have you

checked your MYNCL account logging in you may find it there the page with -

"LET'S GET YOU UPGRADED"

Regarding your Roll Call guests not getting the upgrade (bid) notice perhaps none are eligible

for the upgrading - NCL does not offer it everyone on the ship only a select few by invitation.

 

Yes 80 days out is the initial period of time that bidding is opened & closing at 2 days before sailing.

If a ship is totally sold out bidding upgrading may not be offered except to a very small select group.

 

Check out your MYNCL and see what is there.

Nothing prevents you from calling NCL and inquiring about an upgrade without bidding you simply

pay more for the cabin than you would by bidding.
