My wife and I will be visiting for the day on a cruise in March. We don’t want to sight see, but would love to find a place to spend the day on the beach and have great lunch. Hotel with a day pass could work, but really want something low key and special. Thoughts would be appreciated!

Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot of beachfront fancy restaurants, especially not near the port.  Those few that are around are mainly associated with hotels.

You could check out The Naked Fisherman at Cap Maison. Lovely beach and setting, great food. Need to be Able to handle stairs though!

Jambe des Bois at Pigeon Island is lovely and super authentic, quite old, etc. Lovely small beach nearby in the park.

Spinnaker's in Rodney Bay. Typical beachfront restaurant. Busy beach.

Rendezvous - adult only/couple only ai resort right near the port, 15 minute walk or so.  Lovely quiet intimate resort with great food.

Vigie Boardwalk. While not fancy or romantic really, great local food on long long stretch of beach with shade and such.

Pink Plantation. Not beachfront, but hillside above Castries. Delicious food and amazing views - could do lunch then some beach at Vigie.

Windsong at Calabash Cove. Stunning views, gorgeous food, lovely small beach area.  Absolutely lovely spot.

Sugar Beach's beachfront restaurant.

1+ hour from port, absolutely stunning setting, typical hotel food..

Trou a Diable at Anse Chastenet. Again, 1+ hour from port, great food, beautiful black sand beach..

Good luck...

We went to the Rendezvous a few weeks ago, our 3rd time there.   Cost is a little over $100 pp and includes all drinks, lunch at 12:30, cushioned loungers, and a palapa.  This time, they came around with fruit trays snacks before lunch.  We took a taxi to & from for $10+tip each way.  We asked if we could come by from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 or so, rather than the regular times which are 12-6 (?) or something, and they were fine with it.  We should have brought many $1 bills for drink tips, b/c when my husband went to the office to get change, they gave us eastern Caribbean dollars.  We also brought Chex mix to hold us over until lunch.

Reservations must be made ahead by phone or email.
