mlbcruiser Posted March 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2019 How many formal nights are there on a 12 night repositioning cruise between Hawaii and Vancouver? Are there quite a few men who do not actually wear suits, sport coats or tuxes on formal nights? I'd think maybe so on a cruise in Hawaii, as it is on Princess in Alaska. (We've noticed formal nights getting more and more casual in recent years even on Royal Caribbean ships. We were just on the Adventure and both formal nights there were quite a few men not wearing any type of jacket or tie. - Not interested in debating the virtues of formal or casual dress in main dining rooms of cruise ships, please! Just would like to know from someone who has done this itinerary.) Were there anything like special Hawaiian cultural performances or talks on this itinerary? I think the answer to these questions will be negative, but thought I'd ask anyway: Are there any locals offering independent tours at the places where the ship docks or lets pax off in the case of tenders? What about info. kiosks? Are there special shuttles into the closest town or must one take a taxi or uber or something? Thanks for any knowledgeable replies. ONECRUISER Posted March 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2019 (edited) Up to 12nites is 2 Formal nites. 13+ nites went to 3 Formal... Longer cruises has about 50% or over in Suits, shorter cruises have about 1/3. So choice is yours Edited March 9, 2019 by ONECRUISER
