Whizlife2019 Posted June 4, 2019 #27 Share Posted June 4, 2019 Highly recommend the Fritters and booking in advance. The resort is undergoing some exciting renovations and enhancing the facilities for the Day Pass program. The price will be increasing again in the near future so highly recommend securing your spaces in advance.

And how do you get to either Cable or Cabbage beach? Better to do ship excursion there or taxi? Our first time at this stop.

You can also take a bus to cable beach for $1.50 pp.

nerds2go Posted June 9, 2019 #32 Share Posted June 9, 2019 Anyone ever heard of a company called Cruise Compete that offers shore excursions at a cheaper rate than the ship?
scubagirrl Posted June 9, 2019 #33 Share Posted June 9, 2019 (edited) Never heard of Cruise Complete and I live here... Public entrance to Cabbage Beach is next to the RIU.. Public entrance to Cable Beach is just past Melia.. or you can ask to stop at Sanders Beach or Goombay beach, which are also free. $4 taxi to Cabbage. $1.25 jitney bus to the others. No need to pay for an excursion to either. Cabbage is next to RIU and Atlantis on Paradise Island.. Cable starts about 2 miles west of town and run a couple miles more. scubagirrl Posted June 10, 2019 #38 Share Posted June 10, 2019 riu is an adults only property. I think the day pass is about 100$ or so. Book thru a third party site.

Cruise compete (not complete) is the website that sells cruises. I have booked several cruises from them and never had a problem. That way it works is you tell them what cruise you want to go on and different agents give you their price and perks that they offer and you choose whatever is best for you. I know they also sell shore excursions but I’ve never booked one of those with them but have about six cruises with them and never been disappointed. goldmom Posted July 23, 2019 #43 Share Posted July 23, 2019 Has anyone been to the British Colonial Hilton recently? Wondering about the status of the construction. We'll be in Nassau in a few weeks and are thinking about the day pass there, but don't want to be sitting in a construction zone. Thanks for any help!
