Regarding East London:

 

Nahoon Beach is very beautiful and worth a visit.

 

Would also recommend a visit to Marlene Neumann's Gallery in East London. She won the South African Creative Art award a few years ago. She also has a book "Sky meets Land" which would make a perfect souvenir of this area as it has the most beautiful photographs.

Thanks I was looking at both of these but Nahoon beach say water is not clean

I just checked in case I had missed something re Nahoon Beach deteriorating. The latest reviews on TripAdvisor give it the thumbs up. It is a popular surfing beach too. 

Of course, if you are worried about water quality, the views are still spectacular.

Any advise on transportation for the day.

Also looking into Durban and not sure if the Zulu visit is very touristy.

Thought of Giants Castle tour but not sure in February with the rains same with Sani Pass

We did a 4x4 trip over the Sani Pass in to Lesotho in November 17. It was an amazing experience - if you can, do it!

Would love to do the Sani Pass but I am told we are not in port long enough.

We arrive at 7:30 and depart at 6 so given you are not off till about 8 and need to return by 5 that makes it tight on time.

My husband spends his days in a car driving so when on holiday he tends to like to relax and leave driving to others.

We generally do our own tours booking private guides or group from role call.

Just surprised at cost quotes so far like even from Cape Town to the wine region for a day stopping in two or three wineries. Or the Cape area tour to Boulder Beach and area so any tour people you can recommend would help.
