coldturkey247 Posted March 29, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2019 Hello all - thinking of booking Oasis NJ - Bahamas in May 2020 for wife’s birthday. Does anyone know much about Cape Liberty and what side of the ship we should book ie would be nice to overlook the NY skyline as we leave port? is that possible - or is Statue of Liberty, Manhattan etc too far away to see from Cape Liberty? stevea36 Posted March 29, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2019 They will be in a distance, but the Port side of the ship will be facing Manhattan and the Statue. (Cape Liberty is south of both of them and you turn to starboard to exit NY Harbor). Steve

Thanks all for replies. On the agent website there’s not too many cabins towards the aft of the ship. I’ve whittled them down to the below port-side balcony cabins: 8D - 8142, 8144, 8146 (all seem quite close to front) 6D - 10136, 11140, 11148 (again, all quite close to front) 4D - 6170 (close to elevator), 9222 (between 2 humps so view may be somewhat restricted) I’m edging towards 6170 as there is only a few $ difference between the 3 category types. Is there anything else I should consider? cheers

That view does not last long, and you will have a much better view from one of the outside decks. I would also pick a deck with passenger staterooms above and below. We like deck 8 for it's proximity to Central Park.
