casino rate

They find you.   It is based on your play in the HAL casinos.  When you go to book, your TA should see it appear on the booking.  You can try calling them, but when I did that they said "not qualified".  Then a couple of cruises later our TA (a HAL PCC) told us that it showed up on her screen when she went to book the new cruise.  It is not on ALL cruises I understand and it can range from 5-30% discount I have been told.  We normally get 10-15%.

This is not the same as a casino OFFER, which usually is a free or highly discounted fare and comes to you by email or direct mail (I never have received one of these).

My Hubby has received a casino offer about 8 months ago in the mail that we couldn't make work with our schedule. There were a list of 20-30 cruises that were heavily discounted and several that were free. I was so upset we couldn't make any work. Hubby does casino on Holland America, not a lot but plays some of the tournaments and actually won one last year... We are going on a Mexican cruise in about 3 weeks and got the casino rate, so that was a nice surprise.

We have been eligible for casino rates for a few years now, and whenever I call my PCC to check pricing she is able to tell me if the casino rate applies.  We've also been able to combine the casino rate with other booking perks.

On Zuiderdam a couple years ago, we got Explore4 with the casino rate.  On our upcoming Eurodam cruise we have a casino rate and qualified for the air credit, saving us nearly $800 on airfare.

Sounds like you have to be a past gambler to receive these.
