Shipboard Credit Use in Casino?

We have a nonrefundable shipboard credit on our upcoming cruise on Regent. Question:

Can it be used in the Casino and if so, how?

If Regent is the same as other cruise lines then the answer is no.  The casinos are operated by an outside company.

If refundable obc get cash for it then you could use that at casino...at least in the past.

You can, however, use those credits for excursion costs.  Either new ones booked on-board or, as explained by TC2 in reply #2 to this thread, retroactively for those booked before boarding:

Thank you for the prompt replies; I have scheduled shore excursions and paid with my credit card, so if an excursion that I prepaid is not sold out I will cancel when on board and re-book with my on board credit. I love Regent and I love Cruise Critic members.

On our cruise in Nov/Dec 2018 it didn't matter if the excursion was full or not, we were able to use OBC to cover the cost of the excursion we had paid for from home. i don't think the policy of allowing you to use your OBC only if the excursion is available applies any longer.   i just went up to the shore excursion desk with my tickets and they re-issued the tickets using the OBC, the credit went back on our account and i was able to take it out in cash at the end of the cruise.
