ccarroll57 Posted April 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2019 So we are leaving on 5/3 for a 5 day Bermuda cruise. We are going to spend the second day at Horseshoe Bay and want to spend the first day doing either St. George's or Hamilton and the Crystal Caves. Our plan is to take the ferry to one or the other and then take the bus to the Caves. I know the ferry takes longer to get to St. George's and it has a shorter bus ride (or at least that is what I read). I am interested in opinions on which you would choose as far as touring, shopping, sightseeing, etc. St. George's or Hamilton?
13cheermom Posted April 16, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2019 How ironic we must've been typing at the exact same moment with same question. Hopefully someone will give us some insight into this dilemma 🤔.
njhorseman Posted April 16, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2019 If you like history go to St. George, which was Bermuda's first capital and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hamilton has better shopping.
AAAAmerican Posted April 19, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2019 Yes Hamilton does have better shopping as more stores. My fav is the CUT coming in on the Ferry or other vessel to the Warf. During the US Revolution it wasa vital in winning as a lot of Black Powder became the Patriots.
