robin13 Posted April 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2019 So now instead of having to catch a 7:15am flight from BCN back home I am now on an 11:15am flight. I was researching shuttles and saw there was a shared ride one that only cost $13.09E. It does say that the max number of stops is 4 and the travel time could be up to 50 minutes. Since I'm not in that big of a hurry to get to the airport I was thinking of taking one of these shared shuttles to save some money. Considering a taxi is estimated around 35E to me it would be worth it. Does anyone have any experience using a shared shuttle?
mapleleaves Posted April 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 18, 2019 The aerobus is only 5.9E. Is your hotel close to one of it's stops ? http://www.aerobusbcn.com/en/lines Our hotel is nr Placa Catalunya so we are using the Aerobus.
Rare Hlitner Posted April 23, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 23, 2019 That shuttle makes little sense. As Mapleleaves posted, the aerobus is a great option if you are on a strict budget. Otherwise, forget the shuttle and simply take a taxi which I think is still about 30€ (the fare might have increased since we did this). Given that your shuttle will cost you 26 Euros (for two persons) and a taxi should cost 30-35 Euros I think the taxi is a no-brainer. No stops, no waiting. Your hotel can get you a taxi in a few minutes or faster Hank
evandbob Posted April 24, 2019 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2019 We plan to use a taxi to the airport after our 4 day hotel stay in Barcelona.
robin13 Posted May 20, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted May 20, 2019 So I just got back from my TA that ended in Barcelona and I'm happy to report that the shared shuttle worked out for me. Since I was traveling solo it only cost me $17 US dollars and they were on time and got me to the airport very quickly. I would definitely use them again if I was traveling solo.
