milolii Posted April 21, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2019 Hello! I know Calgary is not a West Coast Departure Port. But, I do see that many Canadians frequent this board, more than the Air Travel Boards. Hence, I posted the question here. We are ending a land tour in Calgary and will fly to Vancover to catch our cruise departing the following day. Air Canada has numerous flights. The YYC website states allow 90 minutes for check in and get to the gate. This seems reasonable. Is there any reason to increase this time? We are US citizens and will be checking luggage. Trying to arrange ‘this flight. Thank you.
Heidi13 Posted April 21, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 21, 2019 Haven't been to Calgary for many years, but you shouldn't have any issues. Just check-in, security and walk to the gate. In addition to Air Canada, you also have options with Westjet, flights depart every hour or two.
Rare martincath Posted April 22, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 22, 2019 Agree - even with checked bags I'd be very comfortable arriving an hour beforehand, 90mins is more than enough. Domestic flights just need gov't issued picture ID so your citizenship makes no difference to how long it takes to be processed.

Rare jaycruising Posted April 23, 2019 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2019 YYC is my home airport 90 minutes will be more then enough, some times of day and days of the week are definitely busier for commuters. But you will be good.
