Ajproctor Posted April 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2019 We are going on a cruise in August. One of our ports is Grand Cayman island. We want to spend the day at Seven Mile Beach. What’s the best place and best way. We don’t want to do excursion off the boat.

Last trip to the Caymans we took the taxi bus to Calico Jacks Bar & Grill, great beach day!

We have been on 11 cruises this will be our 12 and have been to the beach like this several times. We just have been Eastern Caribbean and It’s just been 20 years since we have been to Grand Cayman and wanted to know the best beach place and best way to get there. All the excursions off the boat don’t just do a beach day. It’s like down town or rum cake factory and beach and we just want to go straight to the beach. 😃

bookbabe Posted April 30, 2019 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2019 Just get off the boat and take a taxi/bus to the beach. Popular sections of Seven Mile Beach (the main tourist beach) include Royal Palms and Calico Jacks/Public Beach. There are tons of threads on Seven Mile Beach here in this forum.
cb at sea Posted May 20, 2019 #8 Share Posted May 20, 2019 Yep...hop the bus to the above mentioned areas...stay as long as you like...then hop the bus back. $2.50 pp bus fare. Do keep an eye on return traffic...it can be slow in the afternoon! Allow time to creep back to the tender!
ruby_bennett Posted September 20, 2019 #9 Share Posted September 20, 2019 Georgetown is beautiful enough, and the people are very friendly. Our port stop was very short, and unfortunately, it was too windy to go to Stingray City. We walked around a little and let our teenager walk through all the shops — wonderful city.
