Light rail from Seatac to Seattle Waterfront Marriott?

We've used light rail before, and found it very convenient for getting from the airport to the downtown hotels.  Not sure how far the Marriott is from the light rail line.  Where would we get off to go to the Marriott Waterfront hotel?  Is it very far/walkable with our rolling luggage?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

From Westlake it's level until you get to the cliff above the waterfront, then, um, down.  There are a couple of elevators if you know where to look (through the Pike market parking garage is the easiest) or else a skybridge from Western Avenue at the north end of Pike Place over to the Bell Street terminal, then down and back across the street.

MUCH easier is to get off at the International District light rail station near Uwajimaya and take the free waterfront shuttle bus.

There is an elevator right by the Marriott (Lenora Street) that we use - easy access to Marriott from there.

Thanks to everyone that replied.  I remember the elevator at Pike's Place now that you mention it.  Not sure how easy it would be to pull our luggage thru Pikes Market.  Sounds like the Uwajimaya stop and the waterfront shuttle may be a better idea, if they allow luggage.

Is the Pier 66 stop on the waterfront shuttle the closest to the Marriott Waterfront?

There's a stop in front of the Marriott Waterfront.

Does the waterfront shuttle allow luggage?  I know it's kind of awkward on the lightrail, if the train is already crowded.

They do if it’s not full. We took it several times last winter but there were no more than 8 people or so. Just saw one this afternoon that was packed. Summer tourist season has started. I wouldn’t depend on it if you’ve got a lot of luggage. It would be more difficult than the light rail since there are a few steps and no designated luggage storage area like the light rail.  There’s a free app called “DoubleMap” that gives you real time info on buses and routes which is handy.

If you decide to walk from the Westlake Station I think it would be better to avoid the Market area. It will be a zoo of people. Head west towards 2nd Ave or 3rd Ave and then north to Lenora St. West on Lenora to the elevator DaveOKC mentioned that drops you within a block of the Marriott entrance.

You'd be among the first on the bus, which might be an advantage.

Or else an Uber from the ID station to the hotel would probably cost $6-$10 max.

(Or of course an Uber all the way from the airport would probably cost $40 and take roughly half the time or less.)
