mayleeman Posted May 13, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2019 Our family is on the Serenade next March. There are 7 of us, 3 couples and a single. The early MDR seating starts at 5:30, which some say is too early after excursions, etc, but the late seating says 8 or 8:30. That is way too late for several needing to go to bed by 9:30. So, someone suggested MTD dining at 7 pm as a compromise. I am apprehensive about our ability to get seated at a table that large anywhere near 7 because I believe I read most tables are 2-tops. And that 7 is one of the worst times for having to wait--up to an hour? So, please, anyone who has used MTD on the Serenade, I have 2 questions: first, what are our prospects for being seated in a reasonable time? Second, and maybe more important, how do we arrange this? For traditional everyone would call in to authorize linking their rez's to ours at a large table we have now set up. For MTD, I believe they now want you to book reservations each night in advance. Do we book that individually and then go once onboard to arrange a large table for all nights? Or do we just call again, change our early dining table for 8 to MTD at 7, and again get everyone to call in without needing to use Cruise Planner? Thank you in advance! Clarea Posted May 13, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2019 You may not be able to make pre-cruise MTD reservations for 7pm. If not, go to the MTD desk at the entrance to the dining room to make reservations.
