bjfitz0703 Posted May 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2019 I see I can use 20,000 FunPoints for a $200 onboard credit. Can this be used for my sail and sign card? I think so yet want to be sure. thanks
Bostwick girl Posted May 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2019 Yes, the credit goes on your sail and sign card.
maryred Posted May 19, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 19, 2019 The FunPoints M/C OBC will not show on your cruise docs, so make sure you print out the redemption confirmation from Barclay's reward program. If the OBC is not added within 24 hours of boarding go to Guest Services with the printout. Just as a side note most of the time the better points vs/ dollars conversion at Barclay's is billing credit , that can be redeemed against any Carnival purchase. This includes booking deposits and payments, preboarding online FunShop purchases such as beverage or internet packages, prepaid excursions offered in Manage My Booking, and against Carnival gift cards bought through Carnival's website. you may also want to check if Barclays is still offering a billing credit of 10% when you pre-purchase your excursions through Carnival online. Micahs Grandad Posted May 19, 2019 #4 Share Posted May 19, 2019 Statement credit is better but if you do use as obc note that the obc will not be refundable. No idea why this should be but use it or lose it.
ober134 Posted May 19, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 19, 2019 Another option is to purchase Carnival gift cards with the points. Can then be applied to your sign & sail once you're onboard.

Just FYI- if you have leftover OBC or cruise cash, you can still cash it in at the end of your cruise by going to the casino, applying your remaining funds to your casino account, take one spin on the slot machine then go cash out... just be careful if you're walking around til you get home with a significant amount of cash! lasvegascruising Posted May 20, 2019 #7 Share Posted May 20, 2019 Just want to mention that if you have a charge from Carnival for $1500 or more you get 1.5% back when you apply the points to that charge.
