Chill Island Cabanas--new tidbit posted

Recommended Posts

Checking my cruise planner this morning, there is additional info regarding the Chill Island cabanas...as regarding to cabana # reserved.

OVERVIEW

This is the beach day you’ve been dreaming about— kicking back in your own private cabana of up to 8 of your friends and family with a direct ocean view. All your beach day favorites are here: powdery sand, crystal clear tropical waters, ice-cold drinks and fresh food right off the grill. Take chill to the next level in a private cabana, complete with resort-style chaise lounges, a lush sectional sofa, complimentary towels, nearby snacks at Chill Grill, and a Cabana Concierge. If you’re looking for adventure, you’ll find shore excursions like jet skiing and snorkel tours nearby. You’re miles away from ordinary— but right in the center of ahh-mazing.

Space is limited. Reserve your cabana pre-cruise for the biggest savings, only available on Cruise Planner.

Pricing is per cabana, not per person.

Night Prior to Perfect Day at CocoCay Port Day:
• You will receive a letter in your stateroom that includes your tickets, cabana number, and a Cabana Map to help you locate your cabana.

Perfect Day at CocoCay Port Day:
• Proceed to your Chill Island Cabana Concierge. The location is indicated on your Cabana Map.
• Your Cabana Concierge will take your tickets and provide you with wristbands for your whole party.
• Your Cabana Concierge will then escort you to your private cabana, so you can kick back, relax and enjoy!

Hmmmmmm, wonder how they assign cabanas.  I was really hoping not to get 1-3 as I wanted one of the ones with the deck.  I love how they still say "sectional sofa" although the new sofa is not a sectional.  Still wish they wouldn't have gotten rid of the 2 really nice chaise lounge chairs that use to be on the decks.

So I just checked and they said they are assigned by the date/time reserved.  So the first person that reserved a cabana will get #1, the next person will get #2 and so on.

I wonder if I'm 1st that I can request switching? I could think this would be a lot of work. Gonna find out in week!

I am also curious as to whether a cabana could be switched.  I reserved months ago, and also hope we are not assigned

in #1, 2, or 3...(no "porch").  Please let us know.

Yea  hoping too. It’s a bummer that they can’t be picked out ahead of time or by going to the desk. Especially if you got assigned to the back row instead of the front. Guess we will all just have to wait and see how it goes.
