MomSwag Posted June 1, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2019 (edited) We will be going to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel on the Vista (May 2020) What are your favorite excursions and how did you book them? I'd like to get a head start! We've sailed before, but not this Itinerary and not on the Vista. Anything we should put on our "definitely do" list? Any suggestions are appreciated! Mike981 Posted June 1, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2019 I have been to Jamaica many times, but not on a cruise so I can't really give you much help there. For Cozumel, if you are a bit adventurous try Trikes Cozumel. Tons of fun.
capriccio Posted June 1, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2019 In Grand Cayman, swimming (or just standing since the water isn't deep) with the stingrays at stingray city is very popular (maybe too popular because it can get very crowded). It's been a few years but we enjoyed our excursion with Captain Marvin's (https://www.captainmarvins.com/). It was much less crowded and less expensive than the comparable ship excursion.
capriccio Posted June 1, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2019 OP - make sure you check out the Caribbean Ports of Call board (https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/456-caribbean/) for more suggestions on excursions and the Carnival (I presume you are on the Carnival Vista) board (https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/133-carnival-cruise-lines/) for more Carnival specific information.
SuiteTraveler Posted June 1, 2019 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2019 My favorite excursion in Jamaica was tubing on the White River and my second favorite was going to Mystic Mountain. Grand Cayman - anything going too Stingray City and Starfish Point. Cozumel - We enjoyed going to Mr. Sancho's for the day - you book ahead online and take a taxi - very inexpensive. I have not been, but I understand Nachi Cocom is also great for adults only and Playa Mia is great for families.
capriccio Posted June 1, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 1, 2019 I can second the Nachi Cocom recommendation for Cozumel but as I remember it is open to both adults and children. http://www.cozumelnachicocom.com/
