Pearl64 Posted June 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2019 We will need to get from San Pedro port to LAX(probably Delta) on Dec. 14 to catch our noonish flight. Should we rely on either of these ride services or use Super Shuttle or taxi? We will have one medium size bag each(there will be 2 of us). Which is most reliable and reasonable? Bruin Steve, I read you did this recently but you did not have a flight to catch. We do have a TSA and Global Entry which is not at the port. Interested in the cost. thank you. Husky61 Posted June 2, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2019 I do not see a problem using Uber or a Taxi. Personally, I would not rely on a shuttle.😃

Bruin Steve, I read you did this recently but you did not have a flight to catch. We do have a TSA and Global Entry which is not at the port. Interested in the cost. Fare was $26.65 and we added a $5 tip. We called at 8:22 am on a Thursday morning (rush hour!) and we were at LAX by 9:00 am...We could have disembarked sooner, but had no reason...just enjoyed a leisurely breakfast instead. The reason we did not have a flight to catch was that it was a one-way cruise down from Vancouver...So, we left our car at an LAX lot when we flew north...so, we were returning to LAX to pick up the car... Even adding a few extra minutes for dealing with the internal traffic horseshoe rather than just getting dropped off at a slightly off-airport lot. Again, could have been off earlier. Also in our favor, we went through US Customs in Vancouver. If you don't have that advantage, add an extra little but of time to your estimate. However, in ANY event, catching a noon flight should NOT be a problem. Definitely take Uber or Lyft...least expensive, most reliable method. They respond very quickly and you don't have to share a ride or make extra stops or wait for others.
