Amiga Island - Labadee

Recommended Posts

We went in 2016 and loved it - we booked it again in 2018, but they cancelled it on us the day before we left......not sure why, never got an explanation from anyone we asked on the ship.

Would do it again, if it was available.

Hmm interesting, I'm going to Labadee next year and was wondering what to do. Why is Amiga Island so good?

Limited amount of people - very relaxing.

Basically your own deserted Island - for four hours. 😉

We went in February and really enjoyed Amiga Island.   We had also noticed how old the reviews were before we booked but we are happy that we did.  Amiga Island is more private, looks more like  Gilligans Island.   We enjoyed the water, having our own chairs, they also have hammocks.  We walked around the whole Island, took 20 minutes We had drink service, much cheaper than the ship.  Very peaceful.  We had a good time.

Any options for shade?  Bathrooms available?  Thanks again!

we went in April and would book again in a heartbeat.  It was quiet with very few people.  You can literally walk around the island in 9 minutes as it is tiny.  I recommend snorkeling with the conservationists who are tending to the island.  They have made a concerted effort to replenish the reefs and can speak to the history of the island.  It was beautiful.  There is shade, privacy, comfy chairs - so relaxing.  When we snorkeled I spotted a crab almost as big as my head.  Worth your time!56403683_10158479993934196_5628528832949518336_n.jpg.08224df16b413800a79c8894b73496c0.jpg56685799_10158479994124196_6394151889272832000_n.jpg.c07b26a3816a5f01983c0f932ba60fd3.jpg57160113_10158479994154196_4852845691908653056_n.jpg.7b6a5ed7e763d3da8f82374e80bfcbc3.jpg
