Markmom18 Posted June 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2019 Hi, I have a little 4 day cruise booked (& paid, for 2020). Then last week I decided to add on a 3 Day. Also paid in full. I called Carnival the next day to let them know of my cruise plans. By what she was telling me, it seemed like the gal took care of connecting the 2 cruises. Yet, I think I would have received some kind of acknowledgement that I'm officially on a B2B. But, I haven't and I don't see anything on my cruise info on the web site. No mention if it .... cruise_mojo Posted June 23, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2019 not to worry theres really no special paperwork there for the b2b are you in the same cabin for both cruises? we just did our first b2b this year on elation out of jax 4 day followed by 5 same cabin booking both cruises together at the same time though each was booked separately and paid for separately anyway, we asked a few questions of our pvp beforehand and some fellow cruisers like you are and some things are handled differently according to port and ship and whether you are staying in the same cabin or not since we were on elation in jax we could leave all our stuff in the cabin, we got to stay on board and didn't have to get off even temporarily between cruises we were told by the pvp to go by guest services during our cruise to make sure they knew were were doing a b2b and let them know in case they were unaware but they do have a list and generally ARE aware or should be... so they are prepared for these questions anyway they will tell you what to expect or do and they will send letters to your room also informing you along the way for us they told us we could leave our stuff in the room, we would have to close out our room acct normally at the end of cruise one, on day one of the second cruise we were told to report to guest services about 930-10am they actually called us down at 945 with all the other passengers b2b took pics, gave us whatever we wanted to drink and took new photos for our room cards and took a group photo too - later in the cruise they are supposed to deliver these pics to our room but we had to get on em about that I have heard that in some ports they have you meet in a certain area and escort you off ship, show your passport to customs and then escort you right back on possibly after picking up your room cards. PalmTree601 Posted June 23, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 23, 2019 In our experience, there is no "B2B paperwork". It's just two cruises booked on sequential dates. It's helpful to make sure they know you're B2B once you're onboard so you receive the special instructions for the changeover day (and help from the room steward if you're changing cabins), but that's about it. naxer Posted June 23, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 23, 2019 A B2B is a lot of fun. Turnaround Day is so unique, it's something I look forward to. But, as others have noted, there is no special paperwork. The first person to acknowledge my B2B is usually the room steward when I meet him. One of the reasons I like Carnival so much is that once I added a leg on a B2B by booking on the website, and let Carnival assign my stateroom. I was going to call after the assignment and link the cruises. And Carnival assigned me the same stateroom almost as soon as I booked it. I thought that was nice of them to do.
