sandcar1 Posted June 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 27, 2019 Just wondering we were just on a Costa Cruise in February the ship was beautiful the ports were wonderful, the food was not to our liking . Italy France and Spain. We have been on three princess cruises in the United States Alaska, Mexico and New England with wonderful food in the Dining Room. We are considering another cruise on Princess to Italy, Greece and Spain again in May of 2020 but not sure because we didn't enjoy the menu. I guess in the United States we were served what we are use to. Chicken, Steak, pasta and always a special of the night. Every night they had the same selections and added others. Maybe we didn't like the food because we were in a different region and weren't used to it. Breakfast only consisted of breads, pastries, cheeses and Italian meats. Our best meals were off ship in all the beautiful little towns. Will your menu cater to the European guests or more to the Americans?
Colo Cruiser Posted June 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 27, 2019 IMO....... The menu is basically the same in the Med. However it depends on how long ago you're prior Princess cruises were? The menus have been redone in the last few years.
sewgood Posted June 27, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 27, 2019 We have found the menus to be basically the same on Princess no matter where you cruise with them in the world. They always have a few regional specialities on the menu but this makes up a very small part of the food on board.
Mike_DeA Posted June 27, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 27, 2019 Costa is a European cruise line and caters to their tastes. I was on one Costa cruise years ago and will likely never go on another because of the food which DW and I didn't care for. Princess primarily caters to American's and their menus usually reflect that.
