Zuiderdam dry dock

Currently on the Zdam.  These are my observations.... The hull was painted in dry dock and looks great.  The carpets and furniture are in very good shape.  The colors and furniture are tasteful and well coordinated IMHO.  There is a more contemporary feel. The furniture looks nice, but the comfort factor is open for debate.  This seems to be the trend with all lines.  There is no Dutch Cafe or separate Club Orange dining area.  You get a separate menu for CO that includes one additional entree, nothing more.  The Pinnacle Grill has the standard glass flower light ceiling and clear glass dividers.  It looks very nice.  The art auction area and rows of pics are gone.  There are now a few pics hanging in what they are calling ‘the gallery.’  This area is now underutilized.  I don’t know about the screening room, but there are no movies being shown on deck.  There are a lot of movies available on the tv. Lido buffet furniture looks good and the food selection looks very good up there.  The pastries look really yummy.  But, we have not eaten up there yet except for ice cream.  All in all I would say the Zdam looks and feels much better than when we last sailed her in 2015.

We went looking for the screening room this morning.  It has been replaced by the Microsoft Studio.  There are up to 6 computer classes there each day.  Movies are now shown in the theater.

I   just got off on Sunday.  She looks brand nre in most areas. Beautiful ship, great crew , food and service.
