Thankfully he was fine. He’d joined the Horizon in early March and I think only did 2 cruises before they stopped running. He spent 2 weeks cruising between Miami and the Bahamas with only crew onboard and said it was actually nice. They had their temps taken each day and were all kept as safe as they could. He flew home via London as he usually does. The U.K. had gone into lockdown about a week before and it was so eerie picking him up from a completely empty Glasgow airport.

Great that it worked out for him. Is he planning on going back to sea whenever they begin sailing again?

I am quite late to the game as I am just now stumbling across your review these two years later!  Lol. I must say, it has been an absolute breath of fresh air after all these months of COVID, no cruises and no happiness here on Cruise Critic.  

 

I probably just missed your son on Horizon.  I was one of the lucky few who got to sail in 2020.  We were on Horizon in late January (and that was MY second review!).

 

Will your son be returning to a ship as cruising resumes?
