barbiedoll54 Posted July 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2019 My friend and I are planning a 10 Day Panama Canal cruise in January 2020. Previously traveling with husband all charges on one credit card was never a problem. As we are “just friends” who are checking off a “bucket list item”. How will the charges be split? Two separate cards or still on one credit card????. Thanks in advance for any help
canadianbear Posted July 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2019 (edited) I did a 10 day cruise with a friend in January (having been used to cruising with my husband so one credit card). She registered using her card and I registered using mine. No problems at all. It made it very easy. It was her first cruise ever and we had a lot of fun and met lots of people. I joined our roll call and met other ladies who were also traveling with a friend not a spouse. Enjoy! cb at sea Posted July 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2019 Separate credit cards or separate accounts is the way to go. It's not a problem!
cruzn single Posted July 18, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2019 I did the bucket list cruise with a friend. We both had our separate credit cards for our separate accounts. No problem whatsoever. She lucked out in a way, as she got 3 star Mariner benefits even though it was her first time on HAL. And I am going again in October. Can’t wait. barbiedoll54 Posted July 18, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted July 18, 2019 Thanks so much. It will be so much simpler this way. Haven’t cruised for a while so very excited to be traveling again.
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 18, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 18, 2019 Sounds like you will be sailing on the Zuiderdam doing a partial Panama Canal cruise. Great itinerary -- great ship. Enjoy your introduction to the canal.
