SargassoPirate Posted July 20, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2019 (edited) We are contemplating a world cruise in a couple of years. Being elite on Princess will probably weigh in our decision, if for nothing else but the laundry benefit. However, what about bringing our own wine on board and what about the mini-bar setup for an extended cruise? Original embarkation only? Thanks for any insights and experiences. finishedover30cruises Posted July 20, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2019 Since the 111 day world cruise in January is also being marketed in various segments, I would hope that we get a bar set up for at least each of their segments. Always do sip n sail so no info on bringing wine aboard.
cnd crsr Posted July 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2019 One mini bar set up for each segment.
SargassoPirate Posted July 20, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted July 20, 2019 Thanks, that would seem the fair way to do it. I think we'll figure out how many segments there will be and try to bring on our wine allotment at Ft. L for the entire cruise.
casofilia Posted July 21, 2019 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2019 But we did one leg a couple of years ago and when talking to people who were doing more than one were told that things like Internet time does NOT carry over, use it or lose it.

Wow that is sad. For the price you'd think they would get free internet.

I could be wrong but since the World Cruise is booked as one segment your wine allotment may only be 1 bottle each at FLL. If it were booked in multiple segments then you could bring wine on board at each segment. You should get mini bar setup for each segment even though you booked the cruise as one segment. Never understood why some things are counted one way and other things differently.
