JRP108 Posted July 26, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2019 We are sailing in May 2020 and looking to book some of the speciality restaurants. Which night are usually the formal nights in the MDR?
zuggie Posted July 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2019 On 7 day itineraries, usually 2nd and 6th nights. These are usually days at sea.

neverbeenhere Posted July 27, 2019 #4 Share Posted July 27, 2019 Dress to impress or at least your best. That would be DTIOALYB. - that’s easy. 😀
Jimnbigd Posted July 29, 2019 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2019 (edited) Usually Monday (also the Captain's party in the Royal Promenade) and Friday (lobster night), but I think once the 2nd night was Thursday (not sure why). Nado44 Posted July 29, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 29, 2019 Just off of Liberty this past Sunday. Can confirm that the 2nd and 6th nights were "formal nights". 6th night was also lobster tail night. Fewer pax dress formal these days. The majority are in sun dresses (women) and slacks and a polo shirt (men). However, pax get more dressed up during the more-expensive, holiday sailings (Xmas and New Years). I'd say 80 percent dressed to the nines on our recent NYE sailing ex-San Juan.
