Msmojo66 Posted July 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2019 So, looking at a city trolley tour and getting dropped off at Creek Street. Do they have taxi service or uber that can take you back to the ship? Mom has mobility issues but refuses a wheelchair. Thanks in advance!!! Oakman58 Posted July 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2019 Yes, there are cabs in Ketchikan and I believe Uber operates in the city too.
syesmar Posted July 29, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2019 (edited) Be sure to either get the rate in advance or have them use the meter. We used Sourdough on one occasion and they charged us $35 for a 4 mile, 6-8 minute ride!!! 😀 They were very friendly, but we felt that was steep. Lesson learned. Yellow Cab was up front with us with our rates and we were pleased with them. Edited July 29, 2019 by syesmar
Melinda Brasher Posted August 3, 2019 #4 Share Posted August 3, 2019 Just take the free downtown shuttle to get back to the pier. Here's the route: https://www.kgbak.us/DocumentCenter/View/6314/Bus-Schedule-MAY-2019-Final Look at the bottom half of the first page for the free shuttle route. Your closest stop would probably be the "Museum" stop at the historical museum, which is by the pedestrian bridge that crosses Ketchikan Creek in the middle of Creek Street. It goes to all the cruise ship berths, and it leaves about every 20 minutes. I believe there are benches there at the bus stop so your mom can get off her feet while waiting.
